What this worksheet covers
This is a 35-question practice worksheet on full practice exam — set 3 for Class 1, written to the pattern of the SOF National Science Olympiad (NSO). It carries 40 marks and is designed to be attempted in 60 minutes, split across three sections — Section 1 — Logical Reasoning, Section 2 — Science and Achievers Section. Every question is multiple choice with exactly one correct option, and every one comes with a fully worked solution rather than just an answer key — so a child who gets one wrong can see where the reasoning went astray instead of only learning that it did.

1. Find the odd one out: Kite, Puppy, Doll, Ball
- AKite
- BBall
- CDoll
- DPuppycorrect
Solution: A kite, a doll and a ball are all toys that are not alive. A puppy is a living animal, so it does not belong with the rest.2. Which of these is a living thing that grows bigger and needs food, water and sunlight?
- AA toy car
- BA sapling (young plant)correct
- CA television
- DA doormat
Solution: A toy car, a television and a doormat do not grow or need food. A sapling is a young, living plant that grows bigger over time.3. Which of these statements is true?
- AA green plant makes its own food using sunlightcorrect
- BIce is warmer than the water it melts into
- CFish can live comfortably on dry land for many days
- DBaby animals never need their mothers to take care of them
Solution: A green plant makes its own food using sunlight, so this statement is true. Fish actually need water to breathe, ice is colder than the water it melts into, and baby animals depend on their mothers for care, so the other statements are false.
