About our Grammar & Language Arts worksheets
Grammar taught as terminology is quickly forgotten; grammar taught as noticing tends to stick. The worksheets here lean on the second approach — spotting the naming words in a sentence, choosing between “is” and “are” by ear, punctuating a sentence that plainly needs it — before naming what has been noticed. The category covers nouns, verbs, adjectives, sentence structure, punctuation, plurals, tenses and vocabulary building, roughly for ages six to twelve. For children learning English alongside another language at home, the ordering matters: spoken confidence first, then written recognition, then the rules and their names. Skipping to the rules is the single most common reason a child can recite what an adjective is and still not use one.
