What this worksheet covers
This is a fifteen-question practice worksheet on measurement and time for Class 2, written to the pattern of the SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). It carries 18 marks and is designed to be attempted in 35 minutes, split across three sections — Length, Weight and Capacity, Telling the Time and Achievers Section. Every question is multiple choice with exactly one correct option, and every one comes with a fully worked solution rather than just an answer key — so a child who gets one wrong can see where the reasoning went astray instead of only learning that it did.

1. 1 metre is equal to _______ centimetres.
- A10
- B50
- C100correct
- D1000
Solution: 1 metre = 100 centimetres. We write metre as m and centimetre as cm.2. What time does the clock show?
- AHalf past 12
- B6 o'clock
- CHalf past 6
- DHalf past 1correct
Solution: The long minute hand points to 6, which always means 'half past'. The short hour hand has moved past 1 but has not yet reached 2, so the hour is 1. The time is half past 1, also written 1:30.3. A rope is 3 m long. A piece 120 cm long is cut off. How much rope is left?
- A180 cmcorrect
- B117 cm
- C280 cm
- D420 cm
Solution: First change to the same unit: 3 m = 300 cm.
300 − 120 = 180 cm (which is 1 m 80 cm).
