What this worksheet covers
This is a 50-question practice worksheet on full practice exam — set 3 for Class 10, written to the pattern of the SOF International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO). It carries 60 marks and is designed to be attempted in 60 minutes, split across four sections — Section 1 — Logical Reasoning, Section 2 — Mathematical Reasoning, Section 3 — Everyday Mathematics and Achievers Section. Every question is multiple choice with exactly one correct option, and every one comes with a fully worked solution rather than just an answer key — so a child who gets one wrong can see where the reasoning went astray instead of only learning that it did.

1. What comes next in the series? 1, 8, 27, 64, ____
- A81
- B100
- C125correct
- D216
Solution: The terms are the cubes 1³, 2³, 3³, 4³, so the next is 5³ = 125.2. Which of the following is an irrational number?
- A√11correct
- B√9
- C√4
- D√16
Solution: √4 = 2, √9 = 3 and √16 = 4 are whole numbers. Since 11 is not a perfect square, √11 cannot be written as a ratio of integers and is irrational.3. An army contingent of 616 members is to march behind a band of 32 members, with both groups in the same number of columns. The maximum number of columns is _______.
- A4
- B8correct
- C14
- D16
Solution: The number of columns must divide both 616 and 32, and be as large as possible, so it is HCF(616, 32). Since 616 = 2³ × 7 × 11 and 32 = 2⁵, the HCF is 2³ = 8.
