What this worksheet covers
Match the Synonyms asks your child to draw a line between six pairs — Happy → Glad, Big → Large, Small → Tiny and more. The two columns are deliberately out of order, so each pair has to be worked out rather than matched by position. It suits Class 1 learners and works just as well read aloud together as it does alone.
Skills your child practises
- Spotting a relationship between two things and explaining it
- Visual discrimination between similar-looking options
- Left-to-right tracking across the page
- Vocabulary for the things being matched
How to use it
Draw a line from each word to another word that means almost the same thing.
