What this worksheet covers
Match the Shape to Its Number of Sides asks your child to draw a line between six pairs — Circle → 0 sides, Triangle → 3 sides, Square → 4 sides and more. The two columns are deliberately out of order, so each pair has to be worked out rather than matched by position. It suits ages 6–8 learners and works just as well read aloud together as it does alone.
Skills your child practises
- Spotting a relationship between two things and explaining it
- Visual discrimination between similar-looking options
- Left-to-right tracking across the page
- Vocabulary for the things being matched
How to use it
Draw a line from each shape name to how many sides it has.
