What this worksheet covers
Match the Riddle to the Answer asks your child to draw a line between six pairs — I have keys but no locks, space but no room. What am I? → Keyboard, The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I? → Footsteps, I have a face and two hands but no arms or legs. What am I? → Clock and more. The two columns are deliberately out of order, so each pair has to be worked out rather than matched by position. It suits ages 6–9 learners and works just as well read aloud together as it does alone.
Skills your child practises
- Spotting a relationship between two things and explaining it
- Visual discrimination between similar-looking options
- Left-to-right tracking across the page
- Vocabulary for the things being matched
How to use it
Read each riddle, then draw a line to its answer.
