Farm Day — Count the Animals

What this worksheet covers

Farm Day — Count the Animals gives six sets of pictures to count and record — 4 Cows, 7 Chicks, 3 Sheep … 2 Horses. The sets are arranged so your child can point and count each object once, which is exactly the one-to-one correspondence that early number sense is built on. Suitable for Pre-K.

Skills your child practises

• One-to-one correspondence — one number said per object counted
• Recognising quantities without recounting from one
• Writing numerals legibly
• Comparing which set has more or fewer

How to use it

Count the animals in each row, then write how many in the box.
