Coloring_Color The Shapes_PreK_Worksheet

What this worksheet covers

Color the Shapes is a Pre-K colouring page with six outlined pictures — Circle, Star, Heart … Fish. The outlines are drawn thick and well spaced so younger children can stay inside them without frustration, which is what makes colouring useful practice for the grip and control they will later need for handwriting.

Skills your child practises

• Fine motor control and a comfortable pencil or crayon grip
• Staying within a boundary — the precursor to writing on a line
• Colour recognition and naming
• Sustained attention on a single task

How to use it

Say the name of each shape out loud, then color it in with your favorite crayons!
